A new initiative for 2017, Palmer and Harvey will issue retailers with an ongoing series of educational brochures, full of category expertise, delivered to their doorstep and available to download. The new series highlights key best-sellers, draws out shopper insights and offers advice from P&H’s category experts. 

Retailers will receive brochures focussing on a different topic every month, in an engaging and easy to read format. Examples of topics include; World Foods, BBQ and Summer, Halloween, Big Night In and Back to School among others.

The most recent brochure, World Foods, pulls out key category insights from across P&H’s wide network of expertise. Retailers are reminded, for example, that World Foods has a higher value of impulse purchases than the crisps and snacks category, and that 93% of UK households bought into the category last year. 

Through these brochures, P&H is also sharing with retailers informed insights into today’s convenience shopper, with information included on the changing shopper missions and motivations. With each category presenting a unique opportunity for independent retailers, the educational brochures highlight the key areas for maximising sales and engaging shopper interest at POS.
